It's almost Christmas!!

I love this time of the year, well all but the cold. I still haven't wrapped any presents but there is still time. Tyler of course doesn't understand why there aren't any presents under the tree yet. I was suppose to get some wrapped this weekend but we had other plans. We finally got to go see the movie "Twilight" if you haven't seen it yet, it is great! It followed right along with the book, with less detail of course, but it was so cool to kinda put faces to the characters. If you haven't read the books I highly recommend them.
Kassie has a boyfriend now and they went to the movie Friday night after the school dance. We took them out for pizza, his birthday was Saturday. I don't want to reveal too much at this point, but they have been really good friends for 3 years now. Robert and I really like him and Mom likes him too, she got to meet him Friday night also. He won some balls for Tyler at Pizza Hut so he likes him now too. Up until now he would hide behind Kassie at school when he tried to talk to him.
I also want to say a big Thank you to my sister-in-law Jean who changed my pictures on the blog for me and changed the design. She is wonderful at this kind of stuff. Robert is rushing me off, but her blog is listed on the side, check it out! Also to my beautiful neices Emily,Allyson, and Claire you were great last night at your church's Christmas play! Love to all....Kim

Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for, where can you begin?? I know most of you know that I have been on a journey to lose weight since I had Lap Band surgery. It hasn't been easy since my insurance decided it wouldn't pay for any band fills which you must have once a month. If I have them done it would cost $300.00 every month out of my pocket! Well, I finally weighted myself today, it had been about 2 months since I had last weighted and I had lost another 12 pounds for a total of 42 lbs so far. It may not be alot to other people but for my it is, considering I thought I would have gained since I can't get the band fills anymore. So anyway that is something I am thankful for. We are going to see my Dad this weekend, its been about 4 months since we have seen him and I know he will be so excited to see the kids. It will be my Mom's birthday Saturday also, so we are planning a little surprise party for both of them. Dad's birthday was Oct. 30. Here is hoping everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!

Update on My Mom

Mom is doing much better, she is getting around about the same, but doesn't appear to be quite so weak. She must be feeling better because she already wants the Home Health workers to stop coming! She has never liked alot of company even when we were kids. I guess she worked out in the public for so long that she got tired of it. I took her yesterday for another Eccocardigram and we will get the results of that on Oct. 16. We had one scare with her blood pressure last Friday but the nurse at the medical center said to go ahead and give her another blood pressure pill and it went down within about 40 minutes. Everyone is else is doing fine. I am working everyday at school which is good. Robert had about 3 or 4 weeks in a row of working 5 days and then last Friday they didn't work again. I hope that doesn't start again. We just keep praying and living day to day.

Back to Work Finally

I started back to work today after two weeks off taking care of Mom and taking her to umpteen doctor's appointments. They are not over, we have another one Thursday morning. The neurologist confirmed yesterday that she had another mild stroke which explains her double vision and dizziness. Hopefully it will continue to get better with time. She starts physical therapy next Wednesday. They are suppose to send someone from Home Health to evaluate her to see if we can get some help during the day. She goes October 6th for another Eccocardiogram to see if the fluid has gone down any.
In other news, there isn't any other news. We are just living day by day and doing nothing but the usual things we do every week. I wish I had some exciting news to write about but we are pretty boring around here. Kassie has a football game in Bentonville on Thursday night we are going to. My brother and his family are going to meet us there, they live in Bentonville. I will post more later.

A little dab of everything!

WOW, its been a while since I posted anything. I didn't realize it had been that long. School started nothing remarkable about that. The kids have straight "A"'s so far and seem to be doing just fine. Kassie likes her teachers and Tyler seems to also, what little he tells us about it. He just seems to go about his buisness without much to say about anything. We both just got over strep throat, that was fun!
Mom was in the hospital for 5 days, throwing up,dizzy and they never really figured out what was wrong. She came home last Thursday and we went to a Nuerologist Friday morning and he ordered a MRI and Eccocardiogram so we got both of them done Friday morning. Then they called us and said you need to see a Cardiologist Monday morning at 9:00am. Well, we went yesterday and he said you have fuild about an 1" thick around your heart and you need a TEE done, whatever that is. So here we are, she had that done today and we still don't really know what is wrong with her. There wasn't any holes in her heart like they suspected which was good, but they couldn't drain the fuild just yet. First he wants to figure out what is causing this. Dr. Moon the Nuerologist thinks she might have had another stroke and it affected the brain stem. They didn't find any signs of blood clots today or cancer. So we are just waiting for them to figure things out, in the mean time she is at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Bike Riding...WOW!

This evening we decided to take the training wheels off Tyler's bike. We had told him since he was 6 now it was time to ride his bike without them. Low and behold if he didn't take right off on that bike. Robert walked beside him for 2 times and he just took off and rode around for a long time. I don't think he ever fell, he had a few near misses but we were so proud of him. I told him to think of it as a video game and make it a challenge to ride it and he did. He is growing up on me and I can't seem to stop it no matter how much I might want to.
I have one last week with them and school starts back up, what happened to the summer this year?
We are off to my neice Claire's ChuckieCheese birthday party tomorrow night, two parties in two days there, Tyler should enjoy that, I mean what kid wouldn't. I would love to have had a ChuckieCheese when I was a kid.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

My baby turns 6 today, that is so hard to believe, I know every mother says that, but its so true. What happened to the little bundle I held in my arms in the hospital, well maybe not so little (9lbs 9ozs), anyway you know what I mean. He wanted to have a Chuckie Cheese birthday party so off to Rogers we go today. I hope he has fun, he will have all his friends there or at least some of them. I will post pictures of his party later. Bye for now!

What a day, they come in 3's!

We went to Fay, or at least started that way. We made it to Johnson and then we heard that terrible sound that know one wants to hear....thump,thump,thump....a dreaded flat tire. We were right by the railroad tracks in Johnson, in the sun, in my Mom's van with no tools. At least there was a shade tree near by for my Mom and the kids to sit. The ground was so hot, Robert couldn't even touch anything and where do you think the jack is stored in the van...go ahead guess....under the hood, yea that's right and it was so hot he couldn't hardly touch it and we had no gloves. We had wet wipes, old ones from probably 1995 when she bought the van. Oh did I mention that the tires she informed us were the same ones from 1995 when her and Dad bought the van new. Yea, you read right, she said they had one flat tire in July 1995 right after they got it when Kassie was a baby. We didn't even know if the spare would still have air in it. Anyway to cont. with the story, my Dad had put running boards on the van when they bought it and if you haven't ever tried to put a jack under them.....DON'T! So while we are trying to figure out what to do, we watched car after car, including two police cars drive by us and never stop to ask if we need help. Finally a nice man on a motorcycle of all things stops to see if Robert needs help. He was able to hold the jack for Robert so he could finally get it to go up and we got if changed. We had already called my brother to come and help and they were on the way and they turned around when he finally got it changed. Then we went to Sears and had 4 new tires put on the van. Robert had been telling Mom for awhile now that she needed new tires but money always is an issue, anyway she didn't have much choice today.
So I mentioned they come in 3..bad things I mean...Tyler had asked me if he could have a $5 bill today and I gave him one but said I needed it back....why don't I ever learn??? Anyway we didn't get home with the $5 just a $1 bill. I guess someone in a store got a $5 bill and was happy to get it. I hope they needed it more than us.
The old saying bad things come in 3, I heard it all my life, Robert said he had never heard it before, I wonder if he is a believer now. So I am hoping the other one in the part 3 is the other night our neighbors Kirk and Lori had a flat tire and I ran into them and stopped to see if they needed help and so maybe I can borrow that one and we won't have another mishap, what do you all think???
So I told my Mom that I have been hearing about paying people back...meaning with good things, like doing something good for someone else and someone will do something for you and so forth, so maybe that is why that nice man stopped to help today because I stopped to help a neighbor in need....I hope so and I am going to cling to that and try to remember that and teach my kids that....that is my life lesson for today.
By the way, the man that stopped I am ashamed to say I didn't even ask his name, but anyway I will do better next time....he commented that he couldn' believe that no one stopped to help us...he said " This isn't California people, it's Arkansas" no offense if anyone is from California. So that is my story and I'm sticking to it!!! Bye for now

Thank God for Good Neighbors!

We have the best neighbors that live behind us. They have a large garden and they give us fresh vegetables every day. They hang it on the back fence in a bag and tonight they even gave us fresh corn on the cob already cleaned for us. They were keeping it in the frig until they saw us. The elderly man loves to talk to Kassie when she swings, she is out there all the time. I guess he must miss her this week while she is at camp. The corn was wonderful, Robert even said I am going to have two and I never do that. We gave two pieces to Mom also. We share our vegetables with Mom she loves any kind of fruit or vegetable. They have been sharing with us for 3 years now and they even have berries every year to share, it couldn't get any better! Anyway thank you God for providing such good neighbors. We enjoy our neighborhood and really enjoy visiting with them all!

Camp War Eagle!!!

Well, we took Kassie to her favorite place today "Camp War Eagle". She was so excited she couldn't wait to get on the road. She absolutely loves that place. She was so dissappointed when she only got to go for one week due to Cheerleading Camp, but she was happy also just to be going. She made some good friends last year and had so many stories to tell. She is on the "Caddo" tribe at camp. They have the "Caddo" and "Osage" tribes and once you get on one of them you stay on it everytime you go back to camp. So far this year "Caddo" has one every session. The different cabins play against each other in tribal competitions. Robert and Tyler went with us today, they didn't go last year. Tyler loves all the water slides they have and he said he wanted to go to camp there too. He can't go until he is 7, if Mom lets him that is! Thank goodness my kids aren't scared of anything or going anywhere. They are content wherever they go and take up with everyone. I think that is a good thing?? When we pick her up Saturday we have to take her straight to Dance Camp in Fayetteville. That girl keeps me hopping and young, I think.
Tyler is still in swim lessons and looking forward to his birthday party coming up. He wants a Chucky Cheese party in Rogers. Its hard to believe my baby is going to be 6 years old already. Its about time for some more swimming in the pool, it was too hot this afternoon so we waited until this evening. The water is 91 degrees which will feel more like a sauna than refreshing but oh well it makes for a nice swim after dark. We like doing that alot in the summer time. I am going to post a picture of Kassie at camp next time didn't have time today. Bye for now.

Silver Dollar City Trip

We went to Branson this past weekend and we went to Silver Dollar City for two days. We had a really good time. We hadn't been in a long time so it was fun. The kids rode the roller coasters and water rides and got soaked! Robert rode all of them too. He's just a big kid! We were going to ride go carts in town Saturday night, but just as we got to the hotel it started raining and it stormed really bad. They said they had trees down and 60mph winds in Branson. We were on the 3rd floor of our hotel but luckily we didn't lose power. It was nice to get away even if it was just for two days. The kids want to go back but go to Celebration City next time. The more rides the funnier for them. Of course after Disney World last summer Silver Dollar City is kinda a let down as far as rides go. They still talk about all the rides they rode at Disney World. Tyler was only 4 then but he rode all the roller coasters but two and that was only because they wouldn't let him because of height restrictions. They wouldn't let him ride "wildfire" this weekend either. He is still not tall enough.

Tyler is taking swim lessons again this year, he started them last week and he is really swimming good. He seems to be a natural at it and we don't have to help anymore, he just swims all over the pool and goes down the slide and jumps off the side of the pool and diving board at the aquatic center without our help now. I am so glad!

Hancock the Movie

We went Sunday to see the movie Hancock, it was really good. We went swimming again as usual for the summer. Kassie started her cheer camp today, she said it was really hard and hot! She can handle it. Two weeks and she goes to Camp War Eagle again. She loves that camp!! We didn't do very much today, Tyler woke up throwing up this morning, he seems fine now. We don't know what was wrong with him. That's all for now.

4th of July Swimming

We had a great time on the 4th with my brother Randy and his family. The kids swam and we grilled hotdogs and hamburgers. We then went to see the cities fireworks later that evening. Here is a picture of Kassie and Emily on the wave rocker.

Happy Fourth of July!!

We had a wonderful day with family. We swam in the pool all afternoon and then we grilled hamburgers and roasted hotdogs and marshmellows. We went to see the cities fireworks later on in the evening. Yesterday we took the kids bowling, I don't think our kids enjoy bowling that much. We have taken them before but they don't get too excited when we go. We are going to our neices birthday party tomorrow, that should be fun, more swimming but at a hotel in Rogers and pizza. We hit more yard sales today and found some more good deals. I think we are addicted to yard saling now. Better get for now.

Frig Shopping

Today, I took my Mom to buy a new Refrigerator, hers stopped working during the night. Robert tried to fix the freezer yesterday but it was shot(with a 12 guage)! She has had problems with that frig ever since she bought it and that was at least 20 years ago. When she called Sears to come and fix it, they said it would be next Tuesday(they only come to Siloam on Tuesday's). What is a person to do for a whole week without a refrigerator?? She has medicine to keep in there and company coming Wednesday. So anyway she was tired of messing with it and I took her to buy a new one today. They are delivering it tomorrow. Robert and I emptied hers out and brought alot to my house and then I went and bought ice to store the rest in over night. What a day, her sink is leaking somewhere, so Robert cleaned all that out and we sweept and mopped her kitchen and wiped down stuff, she can't see very good at all. Next he has to buy a new tank for the toliet. He has fixed it so many times, I guess its just time for a new one. He did all this after working all day, I know my Mom appreciates all he does, she tells him and me that alot. I can't leave Kassie out of all the work. She went over yesterday evening and cleaned and washed Mom's back porch off and scrubbed the 3 white chairs off, she said she lost count of how many spiders she killed. We gave our dog Sharla another bath tonight for fleas, I feel sorry for her. I am going to try some of the pills you can give dogs to get rid of them. Our neighbor Kirk told us about it, he used to be an animal control officer for Siloam and then Benton County SO so I think he knows what he is talking about.
Tyler and Kassie have been playing with the two remote control boats we got several years ago at a yard sale a neighbor was having. We forgot about them but got them out last night to play with in the pool. They are alot of fun.
We are going to the Razorback to see a movie in the morning at 10:00. Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It looks like it will be good. Robert is on vacation until next Wednesday. Better get to bed, morning will come early.

OMG! Fireworks again!

We went to watch the free fireworks show again last night at Riverside Fireworks east of town. It was very good again, not as good as the season opener but still worth the drive out there. I went yard saling again Friday and Saturday and found some more good bargins. I am very picky about what I buy so for me to find stuff is wonderful. I don't like clutter or junk in my house so I only buy stuff we need or know we will use. I found a lighted makeup mirror for Kassie, she had told me that she needed one to take to Camp War Eagle. There are so many girls trying to get ready in the morning around the mirrors its hard to get up to them and she wears contacts and has to spend forever fixing her hair and putting on makeup, anyway I am glad I found one for her. I am ready for the rain to stop just like everyone else is I'm sure. The water is too cold to swim in when it keeps raining. I know we will be begging for rain in July and August but that is just Arkansas weather and most of us are used to it. So much to do today better get started. Check back soon for an update on what's going on with the Crowderfour.

Movie and Swimming

We went to Rogers today and met my neices at the movie theater. We saw "Surf's Up", it was ok. Next week it is Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium in Fayetteville. They have movie's for $1 every Tuesday and Wednesday. We also went swimming for several hours today and then again about 8:00. The water is warm now. I got sunburned but that's ok, I will just tan from now on. I wonder what we will find to do tomorrow, I'm sure more swimming. Maybe the library and Wal-Mart, such excitement.

Summer fun things!

Today we went to the library for the Tulsa Zoo presentation for the Summer Reading program. It was about bugs and insects. Tyler seemed to enjoy it and he got some books on spiders and another Land Before Time Movie to watch. We also went swimming in our pool today and had our daily outside time together. We went on a family walk also. We were going to the movie this morning in Springdale but didn't make it. We will try for tomorrow. Its only a $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Not alot to write about today, stayed tuned for more excitment tomorrow(ha ha).

Fireworks!!!

We went to see the Riverside Fireworks Display tonight to kick off the holiday season and it was fantastic! We got there just before 9pm and it started right away. They had free hotdogs, chips, and drinks while you watched. It was by far the best fireworks display we have seen except for the Magic Kingdom at Disney World, by hey who can compete with Disney World! It lasted until 10pm a whole hour of none stop fireworks and I don't mean little displays. Robert commented it was alot better than the city's fireworks show they have every year. They had some stuff we had never seen before. It's a good thing we live in the city limits and they don't allow us to shoot them off because I think Robert and Kassie would be wanting to buy some. They gave us a piece of paper and asked us to rate each one and they went in order. There were 58 of them and then a huge finale that lasted a good 10 mins. They said it was so they would know what to order next year by what people liked the most. Anyway enough already, you get the idea we liked it. I think they have fireworks every friday or saturday night at dusk until the 4th of July.
Randy came over with his family tonight and the kids all went swimming. They had fun, the water was about 83*, too cold for me!
I went to some yard sales this morning, that has become a hobby for me lately. I found a spreader for Robert, he wanted a new one but I wanted to wait and look for one and found one. One of our unbrella's broke last night on the back porch so I am on a mission to find a new or used one. Of course Robert rigged it up, he's just like his Mom she can fix or rig anything up.
Sharla had her yearly trip to the vet today, the poor thing was being eaten up by fleas this year. We had shampooed her in flea shampoo but that only helped temporarly, she has never had them like this. I don't know if its all the rain or what. We put stuff on the yard tonight(with the new spreader) and had her dipped today also at the vet. I hope it helps. We are considering the pills you can give dogs for fleas but we haven't ever used them, if anyone has experience with them let me please know. Better sign off for now. Thanks for reading!

NWA Naturals!

We went last night to watch the Northwest Arkansas Naturals Baseball Team play at the new Arvest Ballpark and it was great! We had the best time! Tyler got alittle bored with it, but Kassie loved it and we all want to go back as soon as possible. The food is pricey but with the $2.00 Arvest discount per person on Tuesday it wasn't that bad to get in. We had great seats right by 1st base and you could see everything. We took binoculars but didn't need them at all. I am so glad my kids got to experience going to a game, we went to baseball games when I was younger.
Tomorrow is Library day, can't wait to do something else fun! We are wanting to go hiking at Natural Falls soon also, but better go early, I am not big on sweating too much! This time last year I wouldn't have even considered going hiking with the kids, but since my surgery I have more energy and I am looking forward to trying it out. I hope to add some pictures soon of everything we have been doing. This is all a work in progress for me. I had to get the house clean today. I can't stand it when it gets messy and the floor gets dirty. When it gets that way, its hard for me to stop and spend alot of time on the computer when I know that is waiting for me. Thanks for reading about our couple of days. Check back soon.

Where do I begin???

We have been so busy lately. We took my Mom to see my Dad at the nursing home in Mountain Home, we had a good visit. We stayed in a motel this time instead of at my brothers house, they were flying the next day to Florida for vacation. My brother Randy and his family met us up there and the kids got to swim in the indoor pool, they had a blast! My dad seemed better this visit while we were there, I guess it wasn't so good after we left. My nephew had to go up there to calm him down.
Tyler had his end of the T-ball party with hotdogs and hamburgers and he got a medal. He's racking them up now. He has 4 trophies and 2 medals. Kassie doesn't have any and she sure doesn't like that! They also had a swim party Sunday night for the ball players at the Aquatic Center, he had fun, this was his first year to go down the slide without anyone. He even wanted us to wait down at the big pool and let him go by himself without watching. We did but that was hard on Mom. He is finally swimming under water, we went ahead and signed him up for swim lessons again this year. Since we have a pool, I think it is even more important that he learn to swim in case of an accident. We took the kids Sunday to see Kung Fu Panda, they enjoyed it alot. Kassie asked yesterday if we could buy it on DVD when it came out. We were going to go to the $1 movie in Rogers today but decided to wait until next week, the same movie is playing in Springdale next Tuesday and we could save alittle gas.
We are taking the kids to see the Arkansas Naturals play baseball tonight in Springdale. They are both excited about that. Tyler loves baseball but told me yesterday he was going to be a Razorback football player one day, I hope he is if that's what he wants to do.
The funny things kids say....Tyler is always saying something to crack me up. Yesterday we had alot of errands to run and he decided that we were on a tour. When we got home later in the day, he said "shhh....finally the tour is done, that was a long one" I asked him yesterday if he was going to be a stand up comedian one day and that is when he informed me about being a Razorback football player. He definitely has his daddy's sense of humor and his uncle Randy's. They always call me the serious one in the family and I am, someone has to be with my two kids and Robert!
I don't get on here to much anymore, I guess that's why when I do its always a long one. I should write more often and then it would be a quick one. I guess I need to go rally the troops. Tyler is playing his new Smash Hulk game he got yesterday, it has playdoh that you use, I didn't know that when I bought it, anyone that knows me, knows I don't like playdoh. I don't like messes in my house. I don't care what anyone else does in their house. I know, I know....I have kids and I do let them make messes but they have to clean them up before moving on to something else first. I heard Robert telling Tyler last night that he was going to keep his room clean unlike his sister. We have to keep on her every couple of days to straighten up her room. He blamed me for that, I don't know why???
Ok enough rambling better get busy doing some cleaning! Bye for now...Kim

Soccer,T-ball,Dance Recital and more

When does it all end? Kassie had her dance recital Saturday, she danced in the afternoon and that evening, I'm sure glad that is over for the summer. Tyler had his last soccer game last night and T-ball is still going into June due to some rain out dates they have to make up. Kassie has a choir concert tomorrow night and another T-ball game, so once again Robert and I go in different directions. Kassie finished physical therapy today and she goes back to see the surgeon Monday afternoon. Her elbow is almost back to normal. Tyler had his Kindergarten program yesterday morning, I am going to attempt to put pictures on here of everything. I am still learning how to do alot of stuff. Wendy I used to think you had a busy life, now I'm there! I agree with Jean, I am beginning to hate May!!! If I can get some pictures on here, I hope you enjoy them and if they don't work, I will be calling Jean for HELP!

Alot of catching up to do

I am sorry I haven't been keeping up with my blog very good. I seem to enjoy being outside alot more than being stuck inside with the nice weather we have been having lately. Being on the internet has never been my favorite thing to do anyway, I know everyone else I know loves it.
Kassie and Robert went to a free showing of the new Chronicles of Narnia movie Prince Caspian this morning in Fayetteville. Kassie's orthodontist paid for his patients to get a private screening of the movie, he did this the last time when the first movie came out. They enjoyed it and got free popcorn and drinks to boot, can't beat that!
I have been working almost everyday for the last month, that is good. Robert is still only getting 3 or 4 days of work a week. I keep praying that plant that is on strike will go back to work so he can get back to work fulltime. I know he is ready to get back to work too.
Robert got the pool ready this past week, we are just waiting on that warm Arkansas weather to come back so we can enjoy our family time in the pool together.
Kassie has her dance recital at the Walton Arts Center this coming weekend. She is dancing Saturday afternoon at 2:00 and again at 7:30 that night. She is up front in all her dances and is very excited about it. She is still going to physical thereapy twice a week now and her arm is getting much better.
Tyler is still playing T-Ball and Soccer. He scored two goals at soccer in the game Monday night!
We have a very busy schedule this week, I have to take Kassie to the Walton Arts Center for dance rehersal twice this week as well as cheerleading practice and games going on. My schedule is getting crazy anymore, I will be glad for school to be out! I'm sure there is alot more to write about but that's about my limit for one night.

A Week in our life

It has been a busy week as usual for our family. We had in-laws here for the weekend and we took them to the Dogwood Festival. We went to one of Tyler's soccer games Saturday morning, they lost. He has a T-Ball game tonight, it is so cute to watch them play. Kassie has started physical therapy on her arm 3 days a week now, its not healing like it should. It is already getting better after 2 visits though. She started trying out for volleyball this week, but it hurt too much so they said they would let her try out this summer after she is healed. Robert's job has been cut to 3 days a week for awhile, another plant that supplies for GM went on strike now. I'm sure it will turn around soon. He decided to go look for a part time job, doing what I don't know, but at least he is willing to. Lots to do so I better get busy.

Disappointed....sad face

I was suppose to go back to see Dr. Roller this morning, but it got cancelled again, this is the second time. I can't blame the guy this time though, his wife only had a baby last night! Anyway I have to wait until May 6th to go back now. I don't really look forward to the needle in the stomach thing anyway!
Robert is home sick with the same thing Tyler had. I need to sterilize this house I guess. Tyler went back to school today because they were having pictures and he didn't want to miss that, funny I do everything I can to avoid pictures. I guess to little ones, things like that are special.
Kassie got her bottom braces on yesterday, they hurt last night, but this morning she was fine. She didn't want to miss another day, they are doing Benchmark testing this week. Thrill, Thrill!!!
Well, that's about it for today so far, who knows what else will happen before the day is over?

My Wonderful Husband

Thank goodness Robert is a great husband and father! I got up with Tyler last night many, many times. He was throwing up with diaherra, what a night! This morning Robert took over for me and let me go back to sleep and said sleep as long as you want. He even got the laundry caught up while I was sleeping. He took care of the kids, cleaned Tyler up many more times and even gave him medicine. Now Tyler is running a slight fever. Where did he get this??? The rest of us are not sick. I wonder if he is getting it being around the kids every Saturday playing ball. Hopefully we are about past the worst of it. Please pray for us!

And it Came...and Came....and Came!!

What was it??? VOMIT.....Tyler started throwing up about 6:00pm tonight and last count we were at 7. We went to the opening day ceremonies for T-Ball this morning around 8:30am and it was sooooooo cold, then we had to go do soccer pictures, then his soccer game and then T-Ball pictures at 1:00. Thank goodness they cancelled T-Ball practice this afternoon because it was still cold. His keeps falling asleep and then wakes up throwing up. Robert already had to shampoo the carpet in his bedroom from the first time. No one else is sick so it can't be any food he ate today. When is everyone going to stop being sick in this family? Robert said this morning at the T-Ball ceremonies that he thought he was in the plains of Kansas it was so cold and the wind was so strong or the Windy city of Chicago. I guess it was just too much for Tyler. Last Saturday night he got sick too, I think we are doing too much on Saturday with him. I guess I better go get ready for round # 8, I hope it doesn't happen!

TGIF!!!!!

Can you tell I am glad it is Friday??? I have been at school for two days, the kids were very good, but I was ready for this week to be over. Tyler has soccer pictures and a game in the morning, opening ceremonies for T-Ball in the morning also and T-Ball pictures and practice in the afternoon. Whew I'm already tired! Why does everything have to be on the same day? We'll get thru it just like we always do.
We took Mom to the Ventian Inn for supper tonight, she enjoyed it. I think we will try and take her to see Dad on Sunday.
Wendy, I heard about the chicken pox thing and now you all are sick.....stay away from me! Ha Ha.....I told Fred I haven't ever had them. Kassie has and Tyler had shots, but we can't afford anymore sickness in this family.
Kassie gets her bottom braces on Monday, she can't seem to be pain free for very long. Better get to bed soon we have a busy day tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, another birthday came and went. Somehow I had to cook supper on my birthday, shouldn't we get waited on or taken out to eat on our birthday? Oh well, there is always next year! I can hope! Tyler made me a pretty picture it started out with "Der Mom, I love you" Tyler Lee Crowder. I loved that he tried to spell Dear. I thought that was good for a little one in Kindergarten.
Kassie's arm seems to be getting better. She isn't in much pain anymore. She has her first Cheerleading meeting Thursday afternoon, she is excited. She worked hard enough with a broken elbow to make the squad so I understand her excitement. Its late I better get some sleep.

Wow, I can't believe I actually started my own blog. I am not very good at this kind of stuff, but I thought I would give it a try. This has been an interesting week or so. Kassie broke her right elbow and had surgery last Tuesday. She got her splint off Friday and the stitches. She went back to school today, but Tyler is home sick now. He has a bad sore throat. Anyway, I will try and post new stuff when I am not working at school.
