Wow, can you believe how long its been since I posted! So much has happened I could never catch up in 20 posts probably. I will have to start slow since I have been under the weather since Saturday evening. I'm sure everyone knows that my father passed away Feb. 12. We really didn't have time mentally to prepare for that. He had been sick in and out of the hospital so much the last year and always recovered that I guess we thought he would this time also. We rejoice in knowing he is not suffering anymore and he is Heaven with the Lord and if there is fishing in Heaven he will be right up front talking about how good the fishing is in. They mentioned this at the funeral service and I had to laugh because I can so hear my Dad shouting to Tommy and Randy they won't believe how great the fishing is! My brothers got up and spoke at the service but I didn't. I wanted to say some things about my dad on my blog. My dad was a wonderful supporter for our family growing up. He was always there for all my games. I played all kinds of sports and dad was proud of that. He really liked me playing baseball and basketball. Of course he LOVED baseball. Anyone that knew him would know that he loved the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Dad was a wonderful Papa to Kassie and Tyler also. He always made time for them it didn't matter what he was doing he would drop it and play whatever game they wanted him to. He taught both of them how to play cards and dominoes which was another of his favorite things to do. Dad definitly had alot of hobbies. Just the other day Tyler wanted Mom to play dominoes with him and while they were playing at the table I heard him tell Mom that papa taught him how to play. I know that dad would have enjoyed taking Tyler fishing he did get to take Kassie some and they had fun. He used to take her to hunt for wild mushrooms and huckleberries. He taught her alittle bit about gardening too. Robert and I started our first garden this past spring and it was so funny because so many times I said to Robert "Dad did it this way" and I guess I didn't realize how much I had learned about gardening growing up. I didn't know I was listening because I hated doing it so much! That was another of his hobbies gardening. He would come in straight from work and not even sit down and head straight out to the garden and work till supper time, of course if it wasn't a fishing day. Anyway I know I am rambling I could write many more pages but I won't right now.
